- Description
The 7200 was designed to maximize mechanical grip. We do this by elimination of the separator piston, “floating piston”. In most mono-tube shocks, an aluminum or plastic piston is used to separate nitrogen from oil. This design works great, but the floating piston must move when fluid is displaced. When it moves, you will get some running friction in the system.
Our proprietary bladder design allows for a rubber bladder to separate oil from nitrogen. And unlike other designs where the bladder is deformed from one end. Our bladder is designed so it will simply expand and contract from the center.
This enhances the compliant feel and maximizes mechanical grip.
